Burlington started life as Company Shops, the railroad's repair village, and took its name in 1887 from a word someone spotted on a passing train. Downtown keeps a restored theater, City Park keeps a fully restored antique carousel turning, and neighborhoods like West Davis Street and Beverly Hills are listed historic districts. This is our home base. On a brick and stone house here, warm white along the roofline at dusk traces the whole outline, and the aluminum track is color-matched to the trim so by day it all but disappears.
