Permanent Outdoor Lighting in Garner, NC

Garner began as Garner's Station, a stop on the North Carolina Railroad that got its post office in 1878 and became the Town of Garner for good in 1905. It sits on US 70, which in 1917 became the first paved highway built in North Carolina, and its old downtown is a historic district on the National Register. Timber Drive ties many of its neighborhoods to US 70. At night, lights like the ones in this photo wash bright, even light down the walls and across the walk, 72 lumens per light, on a schedule that runs dusk to dawn by itself.
